Community is not Canceled made possible by

When COVID-19 impacted our community, Compassionate Ridgefield immediately launched a "Neighbors Help Neighbors" initiative to support local seniors. The Ridgefielders who answered the call to support locals in need are everyday heroes. One of them is Beth Butler.

Beth is helping two local senior citizens currently guaranteed at home. In addition to grocery shopping for them, Beth makes regular phone calls to make sure they are OK. “It brings me a lot of gratitude helping others during these extraordinary times,” she says.

And, Beth’s shopping list includes an array of specialty items so the couple can prepare some of their favorite Italian dishes. “I’m learning so much and I can’t wait to meet them beyond waving through the window,” Beth says.

Thank you to the men and women listed on this poster and the many others who are stepping up to help!

The CDC recommends that people over the age of 60 or in high-risk groups avoid congregate settings. Compassionate Ridgefield members are ready and willing to help local seniors who may be in need of a friendly ear or even need someone to bring them some groceries.
