This week, Officer Austin introduced their first book reading geared for children at the K-2 level. His choice?

Wall-e. “It’s one of my favorite Pixar movies,” says Austin.

If you missed it, don’t fret! Officers will take turns reading books one or two times per week via Facebook live HERE.

“We know households are stressful with the additional school work and we would love to help by having Officers read a book. Part of Enfield’s distant learning packets for the K-2 level requires students to listen to a book from an older sibling or adult, so let us help by reading some books out loud!” says Austin.

The Enfield Police Department is committed to staying close to the community during this difficult time.

You are welcome to share some of your favorite children’s book titles with officers who are planning on reading one or two books per week “giving parents a quick 5 minute breather,” they say.

Visit Enfield Police on Facebook for updates on the day/time of the reading and to share your favorite books with the Department.
